The Titans will play host to the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. Kansas City is a three-point road favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Tennessee is a +136 underdog. The game’s total is set at 37.5 points.
Below, I’ll go over my favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sunday’s NFL Week 16 matchup between the Titans and Chiefs.
Chiefs vs. Titans Best Prop Bets
Gardner Minshew 220+ Passing Yards (+106)
Nobody in the NFL has bigger shoes to fill than Gardner Minshew. Stepping into the QB1 job after Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL is bad enough; on top of that, Minshew has to take charge of a team that has just been eliminated from the playoffs. With their eyes on next season, the hope is that they can build some solid momentum in the meantime. A few strong performances from Minshew could cement him as the bridge quarterback next season until Mahomes is ready to return.
Luckily for him, his first start for the team comes against a secondary that is collapsing like an old bridge. Tennessee ranks 30th in opponent passing yards per attempt and 24th in total passing yards allowed. It may not be pretty, but enough volume will be there for “The Big Shew” to have a productive game.
Tony Pollard 70+ Rushing Yards (+164)
Very few things are going right for this Tennessee Titans offense. Cam Ward is struggling to stay upright, the pass catchers are dropping balls left and right, and many of their drives end in disaster. Tony Pollard is the only player consistently delivering for the past two weeks.
The former Cowboy is churning towards his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard season on the strength of his last two games. Pollard went off for 161 rushing yards and two scores against the Browns in a Week 14 win and followed it up with 101 yards against the 49ers this past Sunday. He’s been their only consistent means of moving the ball recently, and they’ll rely on him heavily in this game.
Kansas City’s run defense is solid, but Pollard is finding the right holes and ripping off chunk gains. Don’t be surprised if he goes for 100 again, but we’ll play it safe and go for 70.
