Top five fantasy football sleeper wide receivers to start in NFL Week 16

By: Zach Thompson

Week 16 is another massive week of NFL action with all 32 teams in action as the playoff push continues. With two games on Saturday and three regular primetime matchups, 22 of the 32 teams in the NFL are on the board for the main slate of DFS fantasy football contests on DraftKings. With so plenty of options, there are many strong plays to consider as you search for fantasy football sleeper wide receivers this week.

In this post, we’ll look at the top options available at a bargain salary. Finding the top fantasy football sleeper plays at wide receiver who are set up to make a huge difference in your DFS fantasy football lineups is key to climbing the leaderboard on Sunday.

The options highlighted each week as football sleeper plays for DFS can also translate into sneaky plays in your season-long league, since they are in line to exceed expectations, and many are still on the waiver wire. Earlier this week, I highlighted my top-30 starters at wide receiver, which can help you make all your start and sit decisions at the position.

In this post, we’ll look at a few players outside those 30 who still bring a high ceiling. Here’s who I am looking at this week and how last week’s picks fared:

Week 16 Fantasy Football Sleeper WR picks (full analysis below)

  • Chimere Dike, Tennessee Titans ($4,200)
  • Hollywood Brown, Kansas City Chiefs ($3,900)
  • Pat Bryant, Denver Broncos ($3,700)
  • Jalen Nailor, Minnesota Vikings ($3,500)
  • Kevin Austin Jr., New Orleans Saints ($3,100)

Week 15 Results:

  • Chimere Dike, Tennessee Titans ($4,300; 5.0 FPTS)
  • Mack Hollins, New England Patriots ($4,000; 8.1 FPTS)
  • Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers ($3,900; 15 FPTS)
  • Isaac TeSlaa, Detroit Lions ($3,500; 0.0 FPTS)
  • Jack Bech, Las Vegas Raiders ($3,200; 3.7 FPTS)

Whether you’re looking for value plays in your DFS contests like the NFL $2.25M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st] or a last-minute addition from the waiver wire in season-long formats, here are my top-five fantasy football sleeper wide receivers for Week 16 of the 2025 season:

Chimere Dike, Tennessee Titans ($4,200)

Dike is still the top receiver for the Titans, and even though his numbers last week weren’t great (5.0 FPTS), he still brings a ton of upside. He did have four catches on five targets but only ended up with 17 receiving yards, while losing seven yards on his only rushing attempt.

He’s still getting opportunities, though, and that’s enough to make him a good value play.

He is a dynamic playmaker as he has shown both as a receiver and a punt returner this season. He has at least four targets in four straight games, averaging six targets per week. He’s had 15 catches in those four games with two touchdowns.

He scored two return touchdowns earlier this season, showing that if he gets the ball in space, he can make big plays.

He gets a solid matchup this week against the Chiefs, who have been eliminated from the playoffs and could be a little unfocused. He’ll be at home in Tennessee, where he has averaged a solid 8.1 fantasy points per game. Considering he started the season in a minimal role, his impressive climb up the depth chart should result in a solid game at this price point. All he needs to do is shake loose for one big play, and the Titans will work to give him the chance to do just that.

Hollywood Brown, Kansas City Chiefs ($3,900)

On the other side of that matchup against the Titans, the Chiefs will be without multiple key pieces of their offense. Patrick Mahomes (knee) is done for the season, and receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton were both ruled out with concussions this week.

It’ll be Gardner Minshew under center, and his top two wide receivers will be Xavier Worthy ($4,400) and Brown, who was away from the team last week to deal with a personal matter.

When Rice was suspended, and Worthy was injured, Brown showed he still had some gas left in the tank. He posted at least eight fantasy points in each of the first seven weeks of the season.

Brown is just six receiving yards from a $500,000 incentive in his contract and one touchdown away from another $250,000. He already has scored five times, including a two-touchdown game against the Lions.

Look for Minshew and the Chiefs to rely heavily on the veteran this week and get him to his easily reachable incentives. Brown is a great value in this good matchup against the Titans, who have allowed the sixth-most WR fantasy points, the fourth-most WR yards, and the seventh-most WR touchdowns.

Pat Bryant, Denver Broncos ($3,700)

Bryant is getting more work for the AFC West-leading Broncos, and he’s ready to return this week after missing Week 15 with a hamstring injury. He should be a solid fantasy football sleeper option from his salary under $4,000.

Before the injury, he posted exactly 7.2 fantasy points in each of his last two games after the team’s bye week, totaling seven catches for 54 yards on a total of 11 targets against the Commanders and Raiders.

Bryant will be back in his role as the team’s third receiver behind Courtland Sutton ($5,700) and Troy Franklin ($5,200), but he brings enough big-play upside to be a solid sleeper since he is regularly involved and is a solid part of a productive offense.

The Broncos face a tough test against the Jaguars, but it should be a great game between two AFC teams on the rise who could end up meeting again in the postseason. It will be another chance for Bryant and the Broncos to make a statement that they’re the team to beat in the AFC.

Jalen Nailor, Minnesota Vikings ($3,500)

Another third receiver who is getting enough work to be a fantasy football sleeper option is Jalen Nailor of the Vikings. He snagged a pair of touchdowns last week against the Cowboys and finished with 19.5 fantasy points.

Nailor has three catches in each of his last two games and is up to 26 catches for 395 yards and four touchdowns on the season. He had his last receiving touchdowns in Week 10 against the Ravens, when he finished with five catches, 124 yards, and that touchdown for a total of 26.4 fantasy points.

While he has a very low floor and has finished without a catch in two of his last four games, he also has a high enough ceiling to be a GPP flier in what should be a great matchup against the Giants, who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to receivers this season.

Kevin Austin Jr., New Orleans Saints ($3,100)

The Saints had to put fantasy football sleeper favorite DeVaughn Vele (shoulder) on IR, so there will be opportunities available in the Saints’ offense as they host the Jets. Mason Tipton ($3,200) is questionable with an illness after missing Friday’s practice, so Austin could be the No. 2 option behind only Chris Olave ($6,500).

Austin was signed to the active roster on Thursday after bouncing back and forth to the practice squad for most of the season. He played 26 snaps last week and caught three passes for 33 yards on five targets.

This is his second season getting a late-season call to the Saints after he showed off his speed and potential in the UFL.

At barely over the minimum salary, all he has to do is break free for one big play to be a good option, or even just duplicate last week’s minimal production. Austin is a bargain basement flier, but he could be just the leverage play you need to push your GPP lineup over the top this week.
