The Eagles and Commanders had terrific 2024 seasons, but both have had their struggles in 2025. Philadelphia is still leading the NFC East, but it doesn’t look as dominant as last year. Meanwhile, Washington is 4-10 and out of playoff contention.
This is the first of two matchups between these squads, with this round taking place at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.
Philadelphia is a seven-point favorite and -355 on the moneyline, while Washington is +280 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 44.5 points.

Eagles vs. Commanders Best Prop Bets
A.J. Brown over 64.5 receiving yards (-110)
The Eagles haven’t clinched the NFC East just yet, so the foot isn’t off the pedal. Additionally, there’s room to improve playoff seeding. While it’s an easy game on paper, the Eagles shouldn’t take it lightly for the aforementioned reasons.
A.J. Brown will continue to be the top target in the passing game. He recorded three straight games of 100+ yards before last week’s shutout. He caught both targets for 41 yards while playing just 72.5% of offensive snaps against the Raiders in Week 15.
While the Eagles should win this game, it shouldn’t be as dominant as last week’s 31-0 victory. This means Brown will get his typical playing time and snap share. As long as he’s playing, there’s good reason to believe he’s going to perform, especially against Washington.
Dallas Goedert anytime touchdown (+180)
There are a handful of players that could score a touchdown for the Eagles. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, Brown and DeVonta Smith are all legit candidates each week in addition to Dallas Goedert.
The veteran tight end is having a strong season, scoring nine touchdowns to go with 54 receptions and 551 yards. Those are good numbers on a team that primarily runs the ball and favors Brown and Smith when passing.
Still, Goedert has managed to carve out a solid role in the endzone, scoring two touchdowns last week in the shutout vs. the Raiders. His touchdowns have slowed down compared to early in the season, but he’s still an excellent target for Hurts when they get into scoring position.
It certainly helps that Washington allows the fourth most passing touchdowns but the 13th most rushing touchdowns. Maybe this pushes Philadelphia to attack via the air rather than ground.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt over 27.5 rushing yards (-113)
The Commanders utilize a rushing committee with Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols. Each of the three have gotten chances within the offense, but Croskey-Merritt has been the most impressive.
The rookie running back is up to 646 rushing yards on 143 carries, boasting a 4.5 yards per carry average. He also leads the team with five rushing touchdowns, and has some pass-catching equity, though not as much as McNichols.
Croskey-Merritt is coming off one of his best games of the season, rushing for 96 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries. He checked all the boxes: efficiency, volume and scoring. While this week’s matchup is tougher, it’s not enough to believe he’ll fall under 27.5 rushing yards.
Philadelphia allows the 11th most rushing yards in the league, but the 10th fewest passing yards. Although the Eagles may play with a lead, the Commanders should still utilize Croskey-Merritt in the run game. It’s a small enough total that he can surpass it with a handful of carries.
