BREAK IT DOWN:

(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)

Derrick White 4+ Three Pointers Made (+105): Tonight is all about the three. Boston’s high-volume approach from deep has carried over into this season, with the Celtics ranking third in three-point attempts per game (43.3) and second in points per game from threes (47). And who’s taking the most? White, of course. He leads the team at 9.24 three-point attempts per game, which also ranks sixth in the league. Plus, White has knocked down 4+ threes in five of his last six games and is shooting 38.6% from deep in December. The matchup is tougher on paper against a Miami Heat defense that holds opponents to 33.2% shooting from three, second-best in the NBA. Still, with White’s volume and recent form, there’s strong value in grabbing 4+ treys at +105.

Tyrese Maxey 4+ Three Pointers Made (+114): If White ranks sixth in three-point attempts per game, the guy right above him is Maxey. He’s averaging 9.35 attempts from deep per game, fifth-most in the league. While his shot doesn’t fall every night, the 76ers’ star did knock down 4+ threes in three of his last four games. Maxey shot just 35.5% from three in November, but the volume never wavered. He now faces a Knicks squad fresh off winning the NBA Cup Championship, yet one that doesn’t boast an elite perimeter defense, allowing opponents to shoot 36.1% from three (14th in the league). Trends still point toward a big night: Maxey has scored 27+ points in each of his last 16 appearances as a road underdog against Eastern Conference opponents. It’s not a guarantee, but the value is there, and the public is backing Maxey from deep tonight.

Jaylen Brown 30+ Points (-104): I’ve got one stat to explain why the public loves Brown to hit 30+ tonight. According to DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub, Brown has scored 30+ points in each of his last five appearances. The end. Pretty convincing, right? The 29-year-old has been an absolute bucket while filling the scoring gaps left by Jayson Tatum (Achilles) and hasn’t slowed down all season. Brown is averaging 29.3 points per game on the year, but that number jumps to 32 PPG over his last 10 contests, all while shooting 42.3% from deep in December. Coming off back-to-back losses, I expect Brown to clear this number with ease, and so does the public.
