Corum ($4,800 for Showdown) has been an excellent fantasy asset the last three weeks, scoring 14.1, 29.1, and 13.1 FPTS in each respective matchup. During this stretch, Corum has scored four touchdowns and been fantasy football’s ninth-highest scoring running back. Impressively, Corum has done all this damage while playing behind Kyren Williams ($9,800).
Williams is still operating as the Rams’ lead back, but Corum has earned more work recently and peaked with a season-high 45.8% snap rate in this past Sunday’s 41-34 win over the Lions. In this crucial win, Corum saw 11 carries on 33 snaps while Williams saw 15 carries on 39 snaps. Both backs saw two red zone rushes. Corum didn’t garner any targets on his 16 routes, but he ran one route more than Williams, who saw only one target.
This Rams’ backfield is trending towards a nearly even split, and Corum should see double-digit touches this Thursday vs. the Seahawks, making him a viable RB3/FLEX play.
Corum is averaging 5.5 YPC this season, which ranks seventh among the backs who have seen 20 or more carries. Plus, Corum has forced 22 missed tackles on just 112 rushes and ranks 18th in FPTS per snap at his position (0.38).
Seattle is a tough matchup, with the club giving up the second-fewest yards per rush this season (3.8). Still, the ascending Corum seems poised to reach double-digit FPTS for the fourth consecutive game.
