NFL Survivor Pool Strategy for Week 16 2025

Week 16 of the NFL season is here, and there are plenty of fun pools to join. Whether you are still alive in your season-long survivor pool or in a second-chance pool, these are the best picks to stay alive during Week 16.

Week 16 Survivor Best Pick

Texans over Raiders

The Texans have been firing on all cylinders over the past few weeks. They have won six straight games and now trail the Jaguars by just one game in the AFC South. Houston has a shot to win the division if it wins out down the stretch, a totally realistic scenario. C.J. Stroud is playing at a high level, Woody Marks has given the Texans a better run game and Houston’s young receivers are starting to complement Nico Collins well. That is just on the offensive side of the ball. More importantly, the Texans have the best defense in the NFL. The Raiders are in total disarray, coming off a 31-0 loss to the Eagles. The Texans should completely shut down their offense and score enough to make this a comfortable win at home.

Week 16 Survivor Bold Pick

Broncos over Jaguars

The Broncos have the longest win streak in the NFL at an incredible 11 straight games. Denver has a top-10 defense, a good running game and Bo Nix continues to manage games well enough to find ways to win. The Jaguars are also one of the hottest teams in football, having won five straight games. This is a massive matchup for both teams as they look to cling to slim division leads over the final few weeks of the season. This being a home game for the Broncos is a massive advantage. The Jaguars need to travel across the country and play at altitude, always a big challenge. These two teams are pretty evenly matched, but the Denver defense is more battle-tested and Trevor Lawrence has been more turnover-prone than Nix. Between those factors and the home-field advantage, Denver should keep its incredible winning streak going.

Week 16 Survivor Favorite to Avoid

49ers over Colts

The 49ers are playing great down the stretch, winning five of their past six games. They are firmly in the NFC playoff picture and are only one game behind the Seahawks and Rams in the loaded NFC West. However, this is a tricky spot for San Francisco. The 49ers end the season against the Bears and Seahawks, two teams they are in competition with for NFC playoff spots. There is a chance that the 49ers are looking ahead a bit and could come into this game flat. The Colts put up a great fight last week against the Seahawks in Philip Rivers’ first start for the Colts. Rivers didn’t play great, but Indianapolis still has a great offensive line and running back along with some good defensive pieces. The 49ers need to travel a long way to play this game on Monday night, and there is a chance that Rivers catches the 49ers off guard and pulls off an amazing upset.
