Kyren Williams More Than 0.5 Rushing + Receiving Touchdowns
Kyren Williams is having another solid season for the Rams. Matthew Stafford is an MVP candidate, and the receiver duo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams is one of the best in the league. However, what Williams does in the run game is essential to the Rams’ success. He provides a real balance to the offense, but most importantly, he is great at getting the ball in the end zone. Despite not being the biggest back, he is very efficient when it comes to finding the end zone in goal-line scenarios. He has ten rushing touchdowns this season, ranking fifth in the NFL, plus three receiving touchdowns. Since the start of the 2023 season, only Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Derrick Henry and Jahmyr Gibbs have more rushing scores than Williams. Williams has been on fire as of late, with eight rushing scores in his past seven games, only failing to score in one of those seven games. He had one of his best games of the season in the first matchup against Seattle, rushing for 91 yards and a score. He should find the end zone again in this matchup with Seattle.
Sam Darnold More Than 0.5 Interceptions Thrown
Sam Darnold had his worst game of the season the first time these teams faced. Darnold threw four interceptions in a single game for the first time since his infamous “seeing ghosts” game for the Jets against the Patriots in 2019. Darnold has been great for Seattle this season, but the interceptions can still be an issue when he faces serious pressure, especially when that pressure comes without blitzing. The Rams rank eighth in the NFL in pass rush win rate and were able to get after Darnold without sending too many guys regularly in the first matchup. It’s unlikely that Darnold throws four interceptions again, but the Rams should be able to force him into at least one mistake using different blitzes and coverages. The Rams rank sixth in the league in defensive interceptions, and Sam Darnold ranks fourth in the league in interceptions thrown. The Rams should get another one off him in this game.
Kenneth Walker III Less Than 13.5 Receiving Yards
Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet have had a relatively even split of snaps in recent weeks. Walker is the bigger back and gets more of the carries between the tackles. Meanwhile, Charbonnet is better in space and gets more of the snaps on passing downs. Walker is averaging just 12.6 receiving yards on the season, and those numbers have been way down the last two weeks. In his last two games, Walker combined for two catches for one yard. The Rams have a stout run defense and dominate at the line of scrimmage. That could lead to this being a heavier usage game for Zach Charbonnet. His playmaking ability on the outside has a better chance of breaking down the Rams’ defense than Walker does between the tackles. All of that should lead to Walker finishing with less than 13.5 receiving yards in this game.
