Week 16 begins in Seattle on Thursday as the Rams face the Seahawks in an NFC West matchup.
This game has huge implications not only for the division but also for the NFC standings overall. Both teams enter this game with an 11-3 record, and the winner will have the inside track to the division crown and #1 overall seed.
The Seahawks are 1.5-point favorites for this one, with the Rams listed as +100 underdogs. The points total is set at O/U 42.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

With the emergence of Rashid Shaheed in recent weeks for Seattle, Cooper Kupp has slid down the pecking order slightly and I think with that will come fewer opportunities. While Shaheed hasn’t solidified his spot as the number two wideout on this team yet, it feels like it’s coming. Over the last two games, Shaheed is second on the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards.
Even before Seattle traded for the speedy wideout, Kupp wasn’t exactly lighting up the stat sheet this season. In total, he has gone under this total nine times in 13 games while averaging around 3.1 catches per game. Kupp had more success going over this total earlier in the season, as he has gone under 3.5 receptions in seven of his last eight games. I don’t see why Thursday will be any different with the emergence of Shaheed and the constant presence of the target machine that is Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Kupp does have a decent matchup in this one, as the Rams are a below-average passing defense, ranking 19th in the NFL while allowing 219.7 yards per game through the air. I’m not sure that will be enough however, as he went under this total the first time these teams matched up earlier in the season.
Expect the former Ram to be held under this receptions total for the 10th time this season.
