UPDATE: Morant has been ruled out tonight due to his ankle injury.
The Memphis Grizzlies will face off with the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight, but they could be doing so without Ja Morant, as the two-time All-Star has been downgraded to doubtful with a left-ankle sprain.
It has been a turbulent stretch for Morant and the Grizzlies, with availability issues right at the top of the list of concerns. He has suited up for 14 matchups this year, posting averages of 17.7 points, 7.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds across a career-low 28.0 minutes per game.
Morant last played on Monday against the Clippers, clocking 20:58 of game action and finishing with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists. Memphis is 7-5 in games without Morant on the season.
Overall, the Grizzlies hold a 12-14 record on the season, which currently slots them at ninth place in the Western Conference. They have looked more encouraging of late, winning seven of their last 10 games. Memphis will challenge a Timberwolves team that has flown under the radar, coming off back-to-back Conference Finals appearances. Minnesota is 17-9 on the season, and remain in sixth place.
Looking at the odds for tonight, the Timberwolves enter as 8.5-point favorites and hold -325 odds in the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Grizzlies hold +260 odds of getting the outright victory with the game total set at 228.5.
