There are five games on tonight’s NHL schedule beginning with Kings vs. Panthers at 7 p.m. EST and ending with Devils vs. Golden Knights at 10 p.m. While a couple of the matchups look a smidge lopsided with the Blues taking on the Jets and the Predators hosting the Hurricanes, there are still plenty of options for player props tonight if you’re looking for other ways to get in on the action.
Here are some of the top NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday, December 17.

Best NHL props for Wednesday 12/17/25
Alex DeBrincat 4+ shots on goal (+150)
We’re starting strong by looking for some plus value in these player props, One I quite like tonight is Alex DeBrincat’s shots line of 4+ SOG at +150 against the Mammoth. While Utah does have a pretty strong defense allowing just 25.1 shot attempts per game, the Red Wings’ star forward is one of the best players in the league when it comes to pressuring the net. This season, DeBrincat has 39 points across 34 games and ranks fourth in the NHL with 122 shots. That comes out to an average of 3.59 shots per outing. After logging 4+ shots on goal in 17 of his 34 appearances thus far, the 27-year-old should have a great chance to hit that mark once again tonight as the main piece in the Red Wings’ attack… even in a tougher matchup. The plus odds here make the wager worth it.
Connor Hellebuyck over 22.5 saves (+100)
The reigning Hart and Vezina winner made his return from a month-long injury absence two games ago. Connor Hellebuyck has stopped 52 of 56 pucks since stepping back into the crease, good for a .929 SV% over those two combined appearances. He seems healthy once again and should continue to play high-quality hockey moving forward for the Jets, who are surely grateful to have their elite netminder back in the picture following a rough patch without the star available. With a 2.44 GAA and .915 SV% on the year, Hellebuyck remains one of the NHL’s top goaltenders and gives his team a chance to win every single night he plays. Tonight’s game against the lowly Predators probably won’t challenge Winnipeg all that much, but I like Hellebuyck’s chances of recording over 22.5 saves at even odds even if Nashville averages just 25.2 shots per night. The Jets’ star has gone over tonight’s line in 13 of his 16 games this season, so we’re looking at one of the most consistent prop markets in the NHL here.
