With 2:21 left in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Zach LaVine was replaced by Malik Monk. Five minutes earlier, LaVine drove down the paint and turned his left ankle as he tried to plant.
LaVine was able to play through it and eventually jogged to the locker room, but he has now been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Prior to exiting, LaVine contributed 10 points, one rebound and one assist in 16 minutes of action.
Nique Clifford was the substitute. He and Malik Monk would be the biggest beneficiaries for as long as LaVine is out.
