Giants vs. Commanders Best Prop Bets
Theo Johnson Anytime TD Scorer (+215)
Johnson led the team in targets in Week 14 against the Patriots and draws a tight end friendly matchup against the Commanders on Sunday. His yardage numbers don’t jump off the screen, but he is Jaxson Dart’s second favorite target only behind Wan’Dale Robinson. In fact, all five of Johnson’s touchdowns have been thrown by Dart. The Commanders’ defense has allowed the second-most touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season and ranks 27th in red zone scoring percentage, which is ideal for Johnson, as four of his five touchdowns have come within the red zone.
Marcus Mariota Over 28.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
The 32-year-old journeyman finds himself back in the driver’s seat in Washington after Jayden Daniels re-aggravated his elbow injury in Week 14. Mariota’s whole schtick was his dual-threat ability, and it hasn’t gone away as he plays in his 11th season in the NFL. He has cleared this line in two of the past three games, while averaging 5.3 rushing attempts per game. While it’s certainly possible that Washington leans on the run game against the league’s worst run defense, New York’s pass rush still poses a threat. The Giants rank 11th in pass rush win rate, with the Commanders ranking 16th in pass block win rate. New York’s potent pass rushers should get to Mariota often, leading to increased scramble opportunities.
