On Sunday afternoon in Week 15, the Indianapolis Colts take the field for the first time since Daniel Jones’ Achilles tear. The story of the week has been Philip Rivers’ return to the NFL after a five-year layoff, and he faces a very difficult test against the Seattle Seahawks… on the road. Can he save his team’s season, or will Sam Darnold and the Seahawks’ defense put on a strong showing in front of the home crowd?
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Seattle is a -13.5 home favorite with -1100 odds on the Moneyline. Indianapolis comes in with +700 ML odds on the road with the game total set at 42.5 combined points.
Here are the top player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Colts vs. Seahawks in Week 15.
Colts vs. Seahawks best prop bets
Philip Rivers over 150.5 passing yards (-111)
Possibly the most wild storyline out of the NFL this season, 44-year-old Philip Rivers last took a professional snap in 2020 but now returns with the Colts desperate for anyone with a pulse at quarterback. An eight-time Pro Bowler, the veteran has all kinds of accolades and counting stats to his name. However, we have no idea how he’ll look after getting off the couch following several years away from the game. Did I consider Rivers to record an interception, even at -161 odds? Absolutely, but I do like the value here slightly more given how low the 150.5 mark looks. Sure, the longtime signal-caller may not be good, especially against a Seahawks defense ranked 11th in passing yards per game allowed at 197.1. Still, Rivers averaged a hair over 260 yards per game in his final season and assumingly can still read a defense. With the weapons he’ll have at his disposal, he may very well dink and dunk his way to the over here. Take the line and you can say you were a part of the story, too.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba 100+ receiving yards (-103)
Perhaps the best wide receiver in all of football, the Jaxon Smith-Njigba breakout has been a joy to witness. The third-year standout is a crafty route runner and displays quite the connection with quarterback Sam Darnold, who’s helped lead one of the NFL’s top offenses throughout the year. Seattle’s top wideout leads the league in receiving yards with 1,428 and his 89 receptions rank third at the position as well while demanding elite target share of 35.7%. He puts up numbers regardless of opponent but sees a particularly nice matchup this week against a Colts secondary still devoid of Sauce Gardner, who suffered a calf injury a couple of games ago. Indianapolis grades out 29th in PFF coverage score and allows 246.3 passing yards per game to opponents. In short, this soft secondary is entirely out of its league against a playmaker of Smith-Njigba’s caliber. With 100+ yards in eight of his 13 appearances this season, the star receiver should run wild again on Sunday.
