John Cena’s 23-year professional wrestling career is coming to an end on Saturday, December 13. Cena will wrestle Gunther in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. at the Capital One Arena.

vs. Big Show | WrestleMania 20 | 3/14/2004
This match opened WrestleMania 20, and John Cena ended up defeating the Big Show to win gold for the first time in WWE. An iconic moment in this match was when Cena picked up the Big Show and gave him his finisher, the Attitude Adjustment. Cena beat the Big Show to win his first title in WWE.
vs. Edge | Unforgiven | 9/17/2006
Edge was one of Cena’s best rivals during the early part of his career, as they wrestled 11 matches in 2006. At Unforgiven, they went toe-to-toe in a TLC match, which was a very hard-hitting, back-and-forth affair. Cena defeated Edge to win the Heavyweight title in this contest.
vs. CM Punk | Money in the Bank | 7/17/2011
Cena and Punk created magic together each time they wrestled against each other, and their first match at Money in the Bank 2011 might be their most memorable clash. Punk beat Cena to win the Heavyweight Championship.
vs. The Rock | WrestleMania 28 | 4/1/2012
This was the first time Cena faced The Rock in a singles match and was labeled “Once in a lifetime”. Before this, The Rock and Cena never faced each other. Up until this point, this match seemed impossible, since The Rock didn’t have a singles match from 2003 to 2011. The Rock won his first match against Cena.

After Cena lost to The Rock at WrestleMania 28, he immediately wanted to avenge the loss the following year. Cena won this match, but it was his last WrestleMania Main Event for 12 years.
vs. Daniel Bryan | SummerSlam | 8/18/2013
This was an incredible showdown between Cena and Bryan. Bryan beat Cena to win his first WWE Championship, but then Randy Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. This was only the second match between Cena and Bryan at a WWE PPV.

For many years, John Cena vs. AJ Styles was a dream match that fans would fantasy book. That was until the phenomenal one made his WWE debut in 2015. Styles and Cena had four matches, with this one arguably their best. Also, Cena won his 16th world title, tying Ric Flair for the most titles (at the time).

Cena won his 17th title at WrestleMania 41 against Cody Rhodes, but the match wasn’t the best. But after Cena returned as a good guy at SummerSlam, it made for a much more intriguing match. This Cena vs. Rhodes match gave you everything you could ask for and more.

When Cena announced a retirement tour, one match most people were clamoring to see was another showdown with Styles. Even though both superstars are getting older, they played the hits and combined to put on another incredible showing. Cena beat Styles at Crown Jewel, evening the all-time series between the two at 2-2.
