The promotion is fairly simple –– place a $5 bet NHL first goalscorer bet, and if the player you bet on scores the quickest goal of the 7:00 p.m. ET slate, you win a share of $250,000 in bonus bets.

NHL Ice Breaker Pick for Thursday, December 11
Justin Brazeau First Goalscorer (+2200)
For the first six Ice Breakers, I tried to find the best possible matchups based on first-period goals scored and allowed, starting goaltenders, and recent line changes. However, we’re throwing logic out of the window for the seventh iteration of the NHL Ice Breaker and operating on nothing but vibes. Enter Justin Brazeau, who missed the entire month of November and could fly under the radar as a contrarian pick.
The 27-year-old has notched six goals and six assists across 14 games this season, and he finds himself in a top-six role with the Penguins. Brazeau started hot, netting four goals across the first four games of the season, and could get back in the groove against a Canadiens squad that ranks third in 5v5 goals against per 60. The Penguins recently placed Evgeni Malkin on Injured Reserve, too, which should further increase Brazeau’s role and production moving forward. The small sample size certainly helps, but Brazeau also ranks 10th in goals per 60 and 18th in points per 60 across the NHL. When these two teams meet, the games tend to be high-scoring, and I’m banking on the Penguins to get on the board early.
