In this survivor pool, you need to pick a team to win straight-up every week. However, once you use a team, you cannot use it again. You are eliminated from the pool if one of your picks lose. The players who survive the regular season without losing will split the grand prize of at least $10,000.
Week 15 Survivor Best Pick
Seahawks over Colts
The Seahawks have been on fire in recent weeks. They have won seven of their past eight games, and they have been demolishing teams. Of those seven wins, four have come by at least 22 points. Seattle now gets to host a Colts team that is in total disarray. After setting the league on fire to start the season, Indianapolis has lost four of its last five games, with the lone win coming in overtime. To make matters worse, Daniel Jones is out for the season, so the Colts’ quarterback for this game will either be Riley Leonard in his first-career start, 44-year-old grandfather Philip Rivers, who hasn’t played football in four years, or Brett Rypien. The Seattle defense ranks second in the NFL in defensive EPA/play and should dominate whichever of those quarterbacks takes the field. Meanwhile, the Colts’ secondary is also riddled with injuries, so Jaxon Smith-Njigba should run wild and make some big plays.
Week 15 Survivor Bold Pick
Buccaneers over Falcons
The Buccaneers are coming off a bad loss against the Saints. However, it’s hard to imagine a better bounce-back spot than hosting the Falcons on Thursday night. Atlanta has lost seven of its last eight games, and things just keep getting worse. Earlier in the season, the Falcons were really competitive, but struggling to find ways to win. However, In the last two weeks, they’ve lost to the Jets, and the Seahawks beat them by 28 points. Kirk Cousins has been terrible at quarterback, and matters are made worse by the fact that Drake London might be ruled out due to injury yet again. Unless Bijan Robinson is making spectacular plays, Atlanta struggles to move the ball. The Buccaneers are desperate for a win, as they are now tied with the Panthers for first in the NFC South. They should get an important divisional win here before heading into a week of extended rest.
Week 15 Survivor Favorite to Avoid
Rams over Lions
The Rams and Lions face off in one of the most exciting games of the NFL season so far. It’s always exciting when these two teams play, not just because of their two explosive offenses, but because of the battle between trade partners, Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff. Stafford has been winning the battle for years, as he has a Super Bowl ring. However, Stafford is also one of the MVP favorites this season, and the Rams are the favorite to win the Super Bowl at DraftKings Sportsbook. This week, though, I would avoid the Rams in survivor pools. The Lions are desperately fighting for their season, as they are currently outside the NFC playoff picture. This Detroit offense is always capable of putting up huge numbers, and with this game being indoors, Jared Goff should avoid some of his typical road struggles he faces this time of year in cold weather. The Rams could be a bit complacent and are facing a team fighting for their lives, so this is a game I would avoid this week.
