The NHL returns with a massive 13-game slate on Thursday night, with first puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET. The Red Wings and Panthers played last night and are the only teams operating on zero days’ rest.

Best NHL props for Thursday 12/11/25
Matthew Knies 1+ Assist (-105)
Knies has notched at least one assist in 15-of-26 games, including 10-of-15 home games. The Maple Leafs rank third in 5v5 goals for per 60 and draw a matchup against the Sharks, who rank eighth in 5v5 goals against per 60. Alex Nedeljkovic will log his 13th start of the season, and he has been streaky with a 3.02 GAA and .899 SV%. He ranks 48th in goals saved above expected, while Knies plays on the first line for Toronto and is tied for the most assists on the team. Knies also ranks fourth in the NHL in 5v5 assists per 60 and should be able to take advantage of San Jose’s below-average goaltending.
Mark Scheifele Anytime Goalscorer (+155)
The 32-year-old is coming off a two-goal game against the Stars on Tuesday night and draws a matchup against one of the worst backup goaltenders in the league, Joonas Korpisalo, who is 5-6-0 with a 3.38 GAA and .888 SV% this season. Out of 80 eligible goaltenders, Korpisalo ranks 72nd in goals saved above expected and 68th in SV% above expected. Scheifele ranks 16th in the NHL in 5v5 goals for per 60, and he has netted four goals in the past two meetings against Boston. The Jets rank fifth in goals per game when playing at home, and the Bruins allow over 0.5 more goals per game when playing on the road.
Connor McDavid 2+ Points (+110)
McJesus has eight points in his last three games and gets to face a tired Red Wings squad that has received below-average goaltending. He has notched 2+ points in 8-of-13 home game this season, which makes sense considering the Oilers average the second-most goals per game when playing at home. Perhaps Edmonton’s offense has overachieved thus far, as it has struggled at 5v5 play and ranks in the bottom half of the league in both xGoals% and Corsi%. However, McDavid is locked in and ranks 11th in the NHL in points per 60. Detroit ranks eighth in goals against per 60, just played last night and is on game five of a six-game road trip.
