There haven’t been too many good things happening around the Falcons organization lately, but the play of Kyle Pitts in recent weeks is one of the few.
Kirk Cousins has started four games for Atlanta this season as Michael Penix Jr. has dealt with injury issues. In those games, Pitts has recorded 59, 25, 82 and 90 receiving yards. Pitts has led the team in targets in all four of those games. To sum it up, Kirk Cousins loves him some Kyle Pitts.
The former Florida Gator is coming off his best game of the season against a formidable Seahawks defense, catching six of 10 targets last week for 90 yards. You would think that Cousins and Pitts will look to build off that performance on Thursday, and they have a great matchup to do just that. Tampa Bay ranks 27th in the league against the pass, allowing an average of 237.8 yards per game through the air.
Overall this season, Pitts has gone over this total in six of 13 games, including in Week 1 against these same Buccaneers. The tight end has had a ton of success in each of his last three games against Tampa, recording 59, 91 and 88 receiving yards.
Expect him to be the focal point of the passing attack on Thursday and to go over this total with ease.
