The NHL returns with a light four-game slate on Wednesday night, with first puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET. None of these teams played on Tuesday night, so there are zero rest advantages to worry about.
Here are my favorite NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday, December 10.

Best NHL props for Wednesday 12/10/25
Emmitt Finnie 1+ Point (+160)
Despite being a 2023 seventh-round pick, Finnie has quickly made an impact in a top-six role with the Red Wings. The 20-year-old has logged first-line minutes alongside Detroit’s two best players, Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond, and has particularly excelled on the club’s second power-play unit. Finnie is unsurprisingly streaky, but he has notched a point in six of the past 11 games, including four of the past five road games. I’d also expect him to see a healthy dose of power play opportunities, with Detroit ranking fourth in penalties drawn per 60 and Calgary ranking second in penalties taken per 60.
Carter Verhaeghe 3+ Shots on Goal (-110)
Verhaeghe has netted at least one goal in five of the past six games, while clearing 3+ SOG in five straight. Utah is not necessarily a friendly matchup for shots, but the club has lost six of the last eight games and could struggle against a grizzled Panthers squad that has won two straight games entering Wednesday’s matchup. The 30-year-old has logged second-line minutes alongside Sam Bennett and Brad Marchand and ranks second on the team in shots on goal per 60. It’s also worth noting that while the Mammoth allow the second-fewest goals per game, they’ve allowed the seventh-most high danger chances, and I’d expect Verhaeghe to benefit from that.
