At UFC 323, Petr Yan defeated Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision to win the UFC Bantamweight title. Yan is now a two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion and has a 3-2 record in UFC title fights.

Before this fight, Yan was a +295 underdog to beat Dvalishvili on DraftKings Sportsbook. Yan was also +550 to win this contest by decision.

Yan successfully defended 27 of Dvalishvili’s 29 takedown attempts. Also, Yan landed five of nine takedown attempts in this fight while finishing with 2:55 of control time.

This is Dvalishvili’s first loss since April 2018, ending his previous 14-fight winning streak. Dvalishvili outlanded Yan 147 to 132 in significant strikes, but Yan ended up doing more damage. This is Yan’s fourth consecutive win and evens the score with Dvalishvili 1-1, who beat him in 2023.
