In the co-main event of UFC 323, Alexandre Pantoja suffered a dislocated elbow, resulting in Joshua Van becoming the new UFC Flyweight Champion. This injury occurred 27 seconds into the bout. Pantoja landed awkwardly on his elbow, causing the injury.

Van, 24, is now the second youngest champion in UFC history. Pantoja successfully defended the 125-pound title four times, and this is his first loss since July 2020. Van is now 16-2 and has won six consecutive fights.

1:43 a.m. ET: Pantoja injured his shoulder

Megan Olivi reported that Pantoja injured his shoulder against Van, and not his elbow.
