Fantasy Football Stacks: Top DFS QB/WR Picks for Week 14

Dak Prescott leads the league with 3,637 passing yards while attempting the most passes (484). Drake Maye has the highest completion percentage at 71.5% while Matthew Stafford has thrown the most touchdowns (32). Tua Tagovailoa and Geno Smith have thrown the most interceptions (14) while Cam Ward has taken the most sacks (48). Maye has completed the most passes over 20 yards (49) while Sam Darnold and Prescott lead the league with 11 completed passes over 40 yards. Finally, Stafford has the longest completion at 88 yards.

Here are my favorite QB/WR stacks for Week 14.

5. Joe Burrow ($6,500) & Ja’Marr Chase ($8,200), Bengals at Bills

I’m not crazy about this stack because Buffalo’s defense is built to stop the pass. The unit is posting the fifth-lowest EPA per dropback and has allowed only 12 passing touchdowns while intercepting eight passes. Buffalo is eighth in pressure rate while blitzing at the ninth-lowest rate.

But it’s Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. The duo is always in play to go bonkers, so out of respect, I have to at least put them on the list.

Buffalo will more than likely put up points, which should keep the Bengals aggressive. There are reasons why the total is 53.5.

4. Jordan Love ($5,900) & Christian Watson ($5,200), Packers vs. Bears

Love and the Packers offense can be quite frustrating, as there are weapons galore and Love has proven that he can fling it all over the field. But Matt LaFleur often errs on the conservative side. If Chicago can put up points, then Love is in play for a ceililng game. He has two games over 30 FPTS. But Chicago has shown a desire to ground-and-pound with their running backs, so a lower-scoring game seems likely.

I’m keeping this stack on the list because there is upside if things break right in terms of game environment. Even without that, though, it wouldn’t surprise if Love and Watson connect for a deep one or two. Chicago has allowed 24 passing touchdowns on the season, the third-most, and the Bears’ defense is 29th in pressure rate with only 23 sacks on the season.

3. Matthew Stafford ($6,900) & Davante Adams/Puka Nacua ($7,700/$8,700), Rams at Cardinals

Stafford had his worst game of the season last week, throwing two interceptions. Prior to that, he had thrown just two interceptions all season. The Rams did have to travel across the country last week and got bested by a feisty Panthers team. While this game is on the road, it’s much closer to home and I’m expecting the Rams to bounce back in a big way.

The Cardinals’ pass defense has been decent, posting the 13th-lowest EPA per dropback while allowing 17 touchdowns and racking up nine interceptions, but the pressure rate is seventh-lowest and the unit has racked up only 24 sacks on the season.

The beauty of this stack is that the Rams passing offense is highly concentrated between Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, who have garnered 99 and 107 targets respectively on the season. Running back Kyren Williams is third with 33 targets.

Jacoby Brissett has been great and I think there’s a chance he can keep the pressure on the Rams to continue being aggressive on offense.

2. Jacoby Brissett ($5,700) & Michael Wilson ($5,600), Cardinals vs. Rams

Brissett won’t stop, can’t stop and doesn’t seem to want to stop delivering fantasy goodies. Since entering the starting lineup seven games ago, he’s put up over 20 FPTS in every contest. He’s attempted at least 40 passes in five of those games and thrown two touchdowns in every game but one… all while throwing only four interceptions.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has been ruled out, so Michael Wilson should get peppered with targets once again. In Weeks 11 and 12, Wilson garnered a whopping 18 and 15 targets.

1. Tyrod Taylor ($4,900) & Adonai Mitchell ($4,600), Jets vs. Dolphins

This game only has a total of 41.5 points, so the environment may not be the most fantasy-friendly. But Taylor and Mitchell are cheap and I think they can deliver the goodies, especially since Taylor has some rushing equity.

Last week, Taylor went 19-of-33 for only 172 yards, but he threw a touchdown and rushed eight times for 44 yards and a touchdown. That was good for 21.3 FPTS. Mitchell was his main guy, catching eight of 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Miami is allowing the 11th-highest EPA per dropback with 20 touchdowns. The unit is allowing a completion percentage of 72.4, the most in the league and the only defense above 72%. In addition, Miami has allowed the third-most rushing yards and fourth-most rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks.

There is a scenario in which this game winds up a shootout because the Jets’ defense is pretty awful as well.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
