College football conference championship weekend is here, and there are some great Friday night games to kick off the festivities.

JMU vs. Troy: Braeden Wisloski Anytime TD (+450)
The Sun Belt Championship Game has massive implications for the College Football Playoff. James Madison is likely to get a College Football Playoff spot if Duke ends up winning the ACC title game over Virginia. To help their cause, James Madison will try to take it to Troy and run up the score as high as possible. The Dukes have a chance to put up a huge number in this game and should have plenty of scoring chances. They are by far the biggest favorite in any conference championship game this weekend and they will try to prove why.
In each of the last two games, Braeden Wisloski has led James Madison in receiving. JMU has not had a clear WR1 this season, instead spreading the ball around to the whole receiving corps, tight ends and running backs. However, Wisloski has been the go-to guy these past two weeks. The junior has combined for 134 yards in his past two games. More importantly, Wisloski scored in both of those games, making it three touchdowns in his past four games overall. James Madison should move the ball with ease against Troy, and it’ll keep its foot on the gas to make a case to the CFP committee. With the scoring opportunities aplenty, Braeden Wisloski should find the end zone for the third straight game, giving this bet at +450 tremendous value.
North Texas vs. Tulane: Drew Mestemaker 3+ Passing Touchdowns (+128)
Drew Mestemaker has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country this season. The redshirt freshman leads the nation in passing yards and ranks fourth in passing touchdowns, with an absurd 29-to-4 TD/INT ratio. Mestemaker will get thrust into the national spotlight this weekend for the highly anticipated American Conference Championship Game. Both head coaches in this game are off to big Power Four jobs next year, Florida and Oklahoma State, and the winner of this tilt will get a spot in the College Football Playoff. Those factors make this one of the most intriguing games of the weekend between two great offenses.
Drew Mestemaker has had a special season and would love to add a conference title and a CFP appearance to his accolades. My best bet for this game is for him to throw at least three touchdown passes. Mestemaker has thrown for three touchdowns or more in each of his past two games and in four of his past six starts overall. Meanwhile, the Tulane defense ranks 97th in the nation in defensive drop back success rate. The Green Wave have struggled to stop the pass all season, and Mestemaker should take advantage of that. In the biggest game of North Texas’ season, Eric Morris will want the ball in his quarterback’s hands when in the red zone. Mestemaker should keep his incredible season going and throw for at least three touchdowns against Tulane.
