On Thanksgiving Day, TeSlaa ($4,400 for Showdown) had the best performance of his rookie season, catching both of his targets for 35 yards and a touchdown vs. the Cowboys (11.5 FPTS).
While TeSlaa only saw a 7.4% target share, he ran a season-high 30 routes, which ranked second only to Jameson Williams ($8,400) for the Lions.
TeSlaa’s increased playing time was a direct result of Amon-Ra St. Brown ($9,800) exiting this contest in the first quarter with a sprained ankle. It initially appeared to be a multiple week absence for the receiver, but Detroit has listed St. Brown as questionable for Thursday’s matchup vs. the Cowboys. However, the wideout has yet to practice this week, so St. Brown feels unlikely to play and if that is the case, TeSlaa will be a viable fantasy option.
The rookie is only earning a target on 6% of his routes this season, but he has found the endzone three times on just six catches, as TeSlaa’s targets have been very valuable. Of TeSlaa’s 10 targets, six have been in the redzone and four have been over 20 yards. The receiver owns a high 16.8 aDOT, which ranks 11th among all the players that have seen at least 10 targets this season.
TeSlaa isn’t going to see St. Brown’s elite volume, but TeSlaa has touchdown and big play upside, especially in this gorgeous matchup vs. the Cowboys. Dallas is allowing the most touchdowns to receivers (21), the third-most yards per pass in the league (7.3) and the third-highest completion on targets over 20 yards (50%).
This tilt carries a massive 54.5-point total on DraftKings Sportsbook – which is the second-highest total the NFL has seen this season – and TeSlaa is a solid WR3/FLEX option that should at least crack double-digit FPTS if St. Brown is inactive as expected.
