There is a phenomenal promo pick for Thursday Night Football. For this pick to hit, CeeDee Lamb needs one receiving yard against the Lions. The expected line for Lamb in this game was 79.5 receiving yards. Instead of needing Lamb to get 80 yards, you can boost your Pick6 play with an extra winning pick if Lamb registers just the one yard. Lamb had his best game of the season last week, going for 112 yards and a score. It’s safe to say he should cruise over this number against the Lions.
David Montgomery More Than 0.5 Rushing + Receiving Touchdowns
David Montgomery is having a solid season for the Lions. Jahmyr Gibbs gets most of the headlines out of the Detroit offense and is still the primary back. However, Dan Campbell is keeping his star running back fresh by getting him to split touches with Montgomery. David Montgomery is not a standard bruiser change-of-pace back like some teams in the league carry. He could be the starting back on many NFL teams because of his power run ability between the tackles, paired with speed in the open field to break long runs. That is why the Lions often use him close to the end zone instead of Gibbs. Montgomery can still do a lot of the things Gibbs can do in open space, albeit not as well, but he can also burst through the trench with immense strength to get into the end zone.
Montgomery is averaging almost 12 touches a game and should have a chance to score against the Cowboys. Dallas ranks 29th in defensive EPA/rush and 30th in defensive rushing success rate. Especially being at home, the Lions should be able to move the ball with ease against this Dallas defense. That will set up plenty of scoring chances for the Lions. Montgomery scored a touchdown last week against the Packers and should keep the momentum rolling in this game with another score.
Dak Prescott More Than 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Dak Prescott is having one of the best seasons of his career. Prescott ranks fourth among qualified quarterbacks in EPA+CPOE composite, making him a serious MVP candidate. He ranks second in the NFL with 25 passing touchdowns on the season, an average of over two passing touchdowns per game. Prescott has thrown for at least two touchdowns in three straight games following the Cowboys’ bye week. With the incredible receiving duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, along with a great tight end, Jake Ferguson, Prescott has so many weapons to work with.
The Lions are also one of the best rush defenses in the NFL in short yardage. They refuse to let teams run the ball into the end zone, ranking fifth in the NFL in opponent rushing touchdown percentage. Over 75% of the Lions’ opponents’ touchdowns have come through the air this season. When the Cowboys get into the red zone, it will be on Prescott to get it done through the air. He has risen to the occasion the past three weeks and should do so again in Detroit on Thursday night.
