DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for December 4

Published:

By: Bill Yin

Our options are limited, but not substandard on this five game NBA slate tonight. The Warriors and 76ers will get us started at 7 PM EST, and the night will conclude with an 8 PM EST rematch between the Timberwolves and Pelicans.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Tyrese Maxey More than 31.5 Points

Tyrese Maxey continues to cook this season, having scored 79 points in just two of his last games. He’s stomping on his previous career-high of 26.2 PPG set last season with a volcanic 32.5, which is good for third behind SGA and Luka Doncic.

Maxey will look to continue his spree tonight against the visiting Warriors, who will be missing Steph Curry and possibly Jimmy Butler. The Warriors have a stout defense, currently ranked 7th in the league, but without Butler they will be easier to pick apart. Maxey is in prime form and will likely net more than 31.5 tonight.

LeBron James More Than 24.5 Points + Assists

With Luka Doncic out for personal reasons, James will presumably see more usage tonight. We haven’t seen James suit up in any game without Doncic yet this season, but 24.5 feels too low for the aging superstar. James has cleared this 24.5 PA in just two out of his four games played this season, but Doncic played in both of those contests.

I’m expecting LeBron to eclipse this number as the Lakers visit the Toronto Raptors tonight, and while he may not be going off for explosive counting stats in the regular season anymore, he’s still as good as they come when he needs to be.

Derrick White More Than 19.5 Points

The Celtics are doing better than expected thus far, currently holding a 12-9 record and the sixth seed in the East. In Jayson Tatum’s absence, Derrick White is attempting a career-high 15 FGA and averaging 16.3 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 5.1 APG. He’s also racking up the stocks with 1.7 SPG and 1.3 BPG.

The main concern with White getting to this 19.5 number tonight, even if Jaylen Brown misses the game tonight, is his poor three point percentage thus far. He’s only shooting 31.8% from beyond-the-arc while attempting 8.7 threes per game. He’s a career 36.6% shooter and has come close to 40% a few times, so we know he’s capable of eventually finding his mark, but it’s possible that the increased defensive attention on White has flustered his ability to hit these threes. His threes are also tougher and more tightly contested without Tatum’s gravity.
