BREAK IT DOWN:
(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Alperen Sengun Double-Double, Yes (-122): Alperen Sengun is flirting with a double-double average this season, posting 22.8 PPG and 9.1 RPG through the start of December. He draws a favorable matchup against a struggling Sacramento team that ranks 25th in defensive rating (119.5) and sits last in the league in rebounding percentage. The Kings’ lack of size and physicality sets up an ideal spot for the 6’11” big to control the glass and operate comfortably as a scorer and facilitator. Sengun’s skillset fits this prop well. His touch around the rim, patience in the post, and elite passing vision for a center consistently create double-double opportunities. That showed on Monday when he recorded 31 points and 14 assists, marking his tenth double-double of the season. DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub also points to a favorable trend: Sengun has grabbed at least eight rebounds in each of Houston’s last four home games against Sacramento.
Donovan Clingan Double-Double, Yes (+146):
***Note: Clingan (leg) is questionable for Wednesday’s game vs. the Cavaliers due to a lower leg contusion.
Donovan Clingan’s scoring has been up and down, but he’s been dominant on the glass. He’s averaging 10.1 rebounds per game this season, which ranks ninth in the league, and he has pulled down 12 per game over his last six outings. That stretch includes a massive 21-rebound performance from the UConn product. While Clingan started the season slowly on the offensive end, he’s begun to settle in. He enters tonight’s matchup against the Cavaliers having recorded two double-doubles in his last three contests. It’s not a guarantee, but at +146, there’s real value in backing Clingan to record another double-double.
Cooper Flagg 18+ Points (-110): Cooper Flagg enters tonight’s matchup riding momentum after two big outings, scoring 35 points against the Clippers and 24 against the Nuggets. Before that stretch, though, he failed to clear 18 points in three straight games, averaging just 12.3 PPG. The Duke product continues to be a reliable double-digit scorer for Dallas, but efficiency has been an issue. He’s shooting only 25.6% from three this season and struggled at the free-throw line in November, converting under 70% of his attempts. From a skill standpoint, Flagg’s strength lies in slashing, mid-range creation and using his size to finish through contact, but his perimeter inconsistency creates natural variance in his scoring props. Even so, the public is riding the hot hand despite a tough matchup. Miami owns the fourth-best defensive rating in the league, yet bettors are backing Flagg to stay on track and hit 18+ points tonight.
