An intriguing East-West clash is on tap for Tuesday night. The surprisingly good Raptors will look to pick up their 15th win of the season. Standing in Toronto’s way are the 8-12 Trail Blazers. Despite Portland’s modest record, this team has taken down some of the NBA’s best clubs over the past month.
Toronto is favored by 5.5 points (-120) over Portland, with the over/under set at 231.5 points. Here are two of the top prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s Trail Blazers vs. Raptors matchup.
Trail Blazers vs. Raptors prop bet picks
Immanuel Quickley 3+ three-pointers made (-120)
RJ Barrett’s knee injury has opened up more touches for his Raptors teammates. Among those slated for increased usage, Immanuel Quickley should see a boost in minutes and scoring. It’s been a solid season so far for the guard, who has notched 16.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game to go with 45/37/72 shooting splits. Over his last two appearances without Barrett, IQ has combined for 41 points and 18 assists. In addition, he’s knocked down seven total three-pointers during that time.
Quickley will look to keep his success going in Tuesday’s matchup. On paper, this isn’t an easy spot; the Trail Blazers roster several standout perimeter defenders. However, one of those names, Jrue Holiday, is sitting out with a calf injury. Another, Matisse Thybulle, is also sidelined due to a thumb injury. Without those two, Portland’s ability to defend three-pointers is limited. In six of Quickley’s previous eight outings, he’s nailed at least three treys. Expect another solid performance from long distance tonight.
Donovan Clingan 10+ rebounds (-133)
Fair warning: Donovan Clingan is questionable to play tonight due to an illness. However, if the big man suits up, he could be in store for a productive evening. Now that Deandre Ayton is gone, the UConn alum has cemented himself as Portland’s every day center. Through 19 games, Clingan is averaging 10.2 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while shooting 49% from the field. The 21-year-old has secured double-digit boards in six of his last seven contests.
Tonight’s opponent, the Raptors, are fairly thin down low outside of starting big man Jakob Poeltl. Toronto has surrendered an average of 56.3 rebounds over its last three games, eighth-worst in basketball. Portland’s offense plays at the third-fastest pace in basketball (102.2). That should lead to extra possessions, and rebounding opportunities, for both teams. Clingan has seen his minutes, and production, increase over the past month. That could lend itself to a stellar showing on the glass tonight.
