Jaylen Brown O 27.5 Points (-105)
Brown has taken on a massive role with Jayson Tatum (Achilles) sidelined this season and Brown has seized the opportunity. The wing is averaging a career-high 28.4 PPG while shooting 49% from the field and handling a 35.3% usage rate, which ranks fourth in the NBA. Brown has exceeded 27.5 points in 11 of his 20 starts and while the Knicks held him to 23 points when these clubs faced off in the second game of the season in late October, OG Anunoby was active for that game and will be out tonight, which is a massive hit to the Knicks’ defense.
New York’s defensive rating is 9.4 points worse with Anunoby off the court this season and Brown should have a big scoring performance on his home floor tonight as the Celtics look to even this season series with the Knicks at one win apiece.
Karl-Anthony Towns U 22.5 Points (-126)
The 22.5-point line is just too high for Towns tonight. Jalen Brunson is healthy again after missing a few games last month and in the 17 starts he and Towns have made together this season, the center is averaging 20.6 PPG with a 25.7% usage rate, which is a drop from his 26.3% average for the season.
In addition to Brunson’s presence negatively affecting Towns’ role, the Celtics are a brutal matchup for the big man, as they are giving up the second-fewest points in the paint and the third-fewest points to centers this season.
Josh Hart O 9.5 Rebounds (-103)
Hart was moved back into the Knicks’ starting lineup four games ago and with the starting job, he is averaging 11.8 rebounds per game while leading New York with 36.6 minutes per game.
During this span, Hart has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in three of these four games and he is averaging a team-high 20.0 rebound chances per game. The Knicks are only a 1.5-point underdog for this matchup vs. the Celtics and if this game lives up to its tight spread, Hart should see huge minutes and surpass 9.5 rebounds.
