With Brian Daboll no longer coaching the Giants, Tracy Jr. has been the team’s clear No. 1 back the last two weeks. First, he rushed 19 times for 88 yards vs. the Packers and then, Tracy Jr. rushed 20 times for 62 yards vs. the Lions.
During this two-game stretch, Tracy Jr. has seen 56.5% of the running back carries for New York and he has logged 61.7% of the snaps. After having solid performances vs. Green Bay and Detroit, both of which are top-six defenses in fewest yards per rush allowed this season, Tracy Jr. now meets a Patriots defense that has struggled on the ground recently, giving up the second-most yards per rush over the last three weeks (5.2).
New England has allowed four players to rush for at least 53 yards during this three-game span, including 107 yards to Chase Brown last week. New York being a 7.5-point underdog for this matchup isn’t ideal, but Tracy has rushed for at least 62 yards in three straight games, despite the Giants being underdogs for all of these matchups. The 49.5-yards rushing line is a low bar for Tracy Jr. given his recent role and he should clear this number Monday.
