NFL Best Bets: Giants at Patriots Best Prop Bets on Week 13 Monday Night Football

The Week 13 NFL slate will conclude with a Monday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and New England Patriots.

The Patriots have leaped forward into the contending conversation this season. They sit atop the AFC East with a 10-2 record, with Drake Maye climbing to the second-favorite in MVP odds at +120 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Things have not been as promising for the Giants. New York holds a 2-10 record with head coach Brian Daboll already fired and injuries ravaging the roster. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart will be back in the starting lineup tonight after missing the past two games with a concussion.

Looking at the odds for the matchup, the Patriots enter as 7.5-point favorites and hold -360 odds on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Giants hold +185 odds of getting the outright victory, with the game total set at 46.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action beyond just backing a side. This article will look at my three favorite prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the Week 13 Monday Night Football matchup between the Giants and Patriots.

Giants at Patriots Best Prop Bets

Drake Maye Under 0.5 Interceptions (-139)

Drake Maye has cruised past any reasonable expectations for this season and cemented his place as the clear franchise quarterback of the Patriots. The 23-year-old leads the league with a 71.0% completion percentage. He has thrown for 3,130 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions while adding 307 rushing yards and a pair of rushing scores.

His ability to take care of the ball is one of his larger strengths. Maye has slipped in recent weeks, with four of his interceptions coming over the past five weeks. But the Giants’ defense is not built to exploit this, with just five total interceptions on the season. Their 0.4 interceptions per game are tied for 26th in the league, and they rank 28th in opponents’ interception thrown percentage.

New England is favored by more than a touchdown and should be able to be careful with their approach. Expect them to leap out to a lead and play low-risk football for most of this matchup. Maye has gone six of the 12 games without throwing an interception while facing far stiffer defenses. Count on the Patriots’ star to take care of the ball and not need to take high-risk throws in the favorable matchup.

TreVeyon Henderson Over 65.5 Rushing Yards (-111)

The Patriots selected TreVeyon Henderson with the 38th pick in this year’s NFL draft. But they have been fairly careful with his workload in the early parts of the season. Across the first seven games, the Ohio State product averaged just 6.1 rush attempts per game. The Patriots have since unleashed the rookie, giving him double-digit carries in each of the past five weeks, including 18 and 19 over the past two. It may have taken longer than it should, but Henderson is the clear top running back and will continue to see this level of opportunity.

This is a great matchup for the rookie to build off his recent success. The Giants rank dead last in total rushing yards allowed and net yards per rush attempt, as well as 30th in rushing touchdowns allowed. They are also last in opponents’ rush success rate.

Henderson is averaging 46.5 rushing yards per game on the season overall, but failed to eclipse 32 yards over any of the first seven weeks. Since this point, he has posted rushing totals of 75, 55, 147, 62, and 66. Henderson remained the lead-back even after Rhamondre Stevenson’s return last week, and this should be expected to continue. With an extremely vulnerable defense and a game script that favors plenty of rushing attempts, count on Henderson recording over 65.5 rushing yards for the fourth time in the past six weeks.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. Anytime Touchdown (+220)

On the other side of the matchup, Tyrone Trace Jr. has seen his role scaled up in the Giants’ backfield. Cam Skattebo’s injury shook up the entire running back approach, but Devin Singletary has also seen his workload reduced in favor of Tracy Jr. On the season overall, he has tallied a team-high 103 rush attempts for 398 rushing yards and a touchdown while adding 21 receptions for 206 receiving yards.

Most encouraging, Tracy played 9 of the 12 red zone snaps in Week 12 with five touches over this span. While he did not reach the end zone, this is a stark distance from what was seen at the start of the season. The Giants’ offense has looked much different with Jaxson Dart at the helm, with much more encouraging signs. New York would be wise to limit opportunities for their rookie to take hits, but Dart has proven to be good enough to put this team in a position to score.

While recording just one touchdown on the season to this point is a bit concerning, Tracy Jr. had six touchdowns last year, along with over 1,100+ yards from scrimmage. His ability as both a rusher and a pass catcher gives him an added edge, and his red zone workload last night makes it especially exciting. The biggest weakness in this Patriots’ defense is in their linebacker play, and don’t be surprised if New York makes it a priority to put this unit in coverage against Tracy Jr. The +220 odds feel too significant, and I am backing Tracy Jr. to reach pay dirt for the second time this season.
