Jaxson Dart best prop bets for Giants at Patriots on Monday Night Football Week 13

The New York Giants and New England Patriots will be squaring off on Monday Night Football to close out the Week 13 NFL slate. Jaxson Dart will make his return to the field after a two-week absence due to a concussion. The rookie quarterback has been the biggest bright spot for the 2-10 football team and will look to lead the Giants to an upset over the 10-2 Patriots.

Looking at the odds, the Patriots enter as 7.5-point favorites and hold -360 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Giants hold +285 odds of winning outright, with the game total set at 46.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action outside of backing a side or total. Here’s a look at my top Jaxson Dart prop bets ahead of tonight’s Week 13 Monday Night Football matchup.

Best Jaxson Dart Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Jaxson Dart Over 30.5 Passing Attempts (-109)

The Giants will be thrilled by the return of Jaxson Dart, who has provided a spark to the offense and given a necessary hope for the future in New York. It has not been the ideal rookie season for the Ole Miss product, with him starting the season behind Russell Wilson and missing the past two weeks due to his concussion. Dart’s recklessness with his body has become a prominent point of concern, with him being evaluated for a concussion on four different occasions this year, including once in preseason.

Dart has completed 62.7% of his pass attempts for 1,417 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He has also added 317 rushing yards and seven scores with his legs. In the seven games he has started, Dart is averaging 29.1 pass attempts per game. Excluding his first start, the number is up to 30.7 attempts per game. The rookie has attempted as many as 40 pass attempts in a game and thrown for over 30.5 pass attempts in three of the six games he has started and finished.

The Patriots enter this matchup as 7.5-point favorites and are looking like one of the best teams in all of football. Considering New York’s defensive struggles — they rank 30th in points and yards allowed — expect the Giants to play from behind in this matchup. This will only increase the need for Dart to air the ball out. In addition, New York will likely be more cautious of calling designed quarterback runs with their first-round pick coming off of concussion protocol. Count on Dart to lean on his arm and surpass 30.5 pass attempts for the fourth time this season.

Jaxson Dart Over 205.5 Passing Yards (-111)

With the same outlook of the game script in mind, Dart will need a high level of passing production to keep this Giants team afloat. He has thrown for as many as 283 passing yards in a game this year — against a tough Broncos defense —and has thrown for over 205 passing yards twice. Dart is averaging 202.4 passing yards this season and has exceeded the 190 mark in each week outside of his first start.

The Patriots’ offense has looked to be Super Bowl caliber, but their defense has shown some holes — particularly against the pass. New England ranks 16th in passing yards allowed, 15th in net yards per pass play, and 20th in passing touchdowns conceded. And that’s factoring in a pair of favorable matchups against Cincinnati’s Joe Flacco and New York’s Justin Fields, who combined for just 299 across Weeks 11 and 12.

Dart has shown flashes of brilliance this season and should match the same level of production upon his return, especially considering the game script and the Giants wanting Dart to adopt a more cautious playstyle. Plus, New York’s rushing attack has been a mixed bag since Cam Skattebo hit the sidelines in Week 8.

This season is all about evaluation, so expect the Giants to let their potential franchise quarterback showcase what he can do. Count on plenty of pass volume as Dart attempts to lead the Giants back into the game late. Some alternate lines — 240+ passing yards (+198) — could also be worth a swing.
