While he won’t be competing, Tiger Woods is hosting the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas this week. This tournament will be played at Albany Golf Course (par 72, 7,449 yards, Bermuda greens) in New Providence, which has been the host of the Hero World Challenge since 2016. Scottie Scheffler is the two-time defending champion of this event and he notably won last year’s Hero World Challenge by six strokes at -25. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Scheffler is heavily favored to win this tournament for a third straight year with field-best +160 odds. The Hero World Challenge is hosting a limited field of just 20 golfers this week and there will be no cut.
Albany Golf Course was designed by Ernie Els and is a coastal, links style course that presents tiny greens, 52 bunkers and water in play on five holes. With the putting surfaces minimal at Albany, being in elite form with your irons is essential at this track, as Scheffler led his field in SG APP when he ran away with a six-shot victory at Albany a year ago. This venue is an untraditional par 72 that features five par threes, five par fives and eight par fours, and walking away with at least a birdie every time you face a par five at Albany is a must for winning at this tropical track.

Top DraftKings PGA TOUR DFS Bargain Plays for the Hero World Challenge
Akshay Bhatia ($7,400) – Bhatia missed the cut at the Sanderson Farms Championship in October in his last start, but before this, the two-time PGA TOUR winner had finished T13th or better in three of his previous four starts, including a T6 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Bhatia has carded 10 top-25 finishes in 26 starts this season and when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, the 23-year-old ranks third in both SG APP and par five efficiency, setting him up perfectly for his return to Albany.
Bhatia thrived in his debut at this course last season, finishing fourth, including a 6-under 66 in the second round. Bhatia’s +2200 odds to win the Hero World Challenge on DraftKings Sportsbook are great relative to his $7,400 DFS salary and he is an easy choice at this low price tag. Notably, Bhatia’s +2200 odds to win this event are the same as Alex Noren, who costs $400 more for DFS purposes.
Billy Horschel ($6,500) – Horschel has finished T8th, 16th and T13th in his three starts at Albany, and the former FedEx Cup champion is on the heels of a T11 finish at the Bank of Utah Championship in October, which is the fourth time in his last eight starts that Horschel has finished inside the top 30.
At the Black Desert Resort that week, the 38-year-old gained strokes with both his irons and his putter, and he closed the event with three straight 5-under 66s. Looking to build off this showing, Horschel has the potential for a top-10 finish at Albany this week and he is a compelling punt play at only $6,500.
