With the Thanksgiving and Black Friday games behind us, it’s time to dive into the main slate on Sunday. One of the 1 p.m. ET games is between the Browns and 49ers.
Both teams are coming off a victory in Week 12 and looking to build upon that this week.
San Francisco is a 4.5-point favorite and -238 on the moneyline, while Cleveland is +195 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 35.5 points.
Here are my favorite player props for this Week 13 NFL game between the Browns and 49ers.
Browns vs. 49ers Best Prop Bets
Christian McCaffrey over 39.5 receiving yards (-110)
This feels like a no-brainer. Amid all the 49ers’ injuries, Christian McCaffrey has been stable leader of the offense. He’s the team leader in both rushing and receiving yards, with 796 and 785, respectively.
McCaffrey has surpassed this mark in all 12 games this season with his lowest total being 40 yards in Week 11 against the Cardinals. He also hasn’t caught fewer than three passes in a game this season.
I get it, the Browns have a good defense; it’s partially why the game total is so low. But let’s not kid ourselves. The best offensive players often outplay the best defenses. It would be foolish to bet against McCaffrey in this one, even against a stout defense.
Furthermore, 40 receiving yards is not a high mark for someone of his caliber. He’s a high-volume player that is essential to the offense. Without him, San Francisco doesn’t function as well.
Jauan Jennings under 38.5 receiving yards (-114)
OK it’s time to give props to the Browns’ defense. This unit allows the second fewest overall yards, second fewest passing yards and second fewest pass attempts. The run defense is less potent, but it is still elite at limiting scores.
Myles Garrett is the leader of this pass rush, making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks. He has 18 sacks in 11 games, including seven over the past two weeks. The official NFL single-season record is 22.5 set by Michael Strahan (2001) and T.J. Watt (2021).
Garrett will cause chaos in the pocket, making it difficult to get quality looks consistently. The 49ers will primarily target McCaffrey, which means there will be less opportunities for players like Jauan Jennings.
Quinshon Judkins anytime touchdown (+120)
Contrary to the defense, there’s not much to like about Cleveland’s offense. It’s gone through three quarterbacks: Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and now Shedeur Sanders. Each have a win for the team, but it hasn’t been pretty.
Sanders gets his second consecutive start this week, but the offense will still lean on rookie running back Quinshon Judkins. He’s not the best at racking up yards, but he’s the go-to option on the goal line. He scored two touchdowns last week and is up to seven this season.
If the Browns get into the red zone, Judkins will get a healthy dosage of carries.
