Rivalries aplenty are on tap today across the college football landscape. At 3:30 p.m. EST, a clash between founding members of the SEC takes place as the No. 14 Vanderbilt Commodores head to battle the in-state powerhouse No. 19 Tennessee Volunteers. The Vols have won the last six matchups and certainly hold the all-time record, but this isn’t the usual Vandy squad, either. DraftKings Sportsbook lists Tennessee as a -2.5 favorite at Neyland Stadium today, but there are far more ways to get in on the action than via traditional game lines.

Not only are the passing offenses great, but the secondaries are also vulnerable on both sides at 112th or worse in opponent passing yards allowed per game. What does that set up? I quite like Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia to hit at least 280 passing yards in this game given his dominance this season, especially in recent weeks. He’s racked up 2,924 yards and 26 touchdowns through the air with just six interceptions on the year, but his recent form appears scorching. Just look at the numbers from the last three weeks with 365 YDS/3 TD against Texas, 377 YDS/3 TD against Auburn, and 484 YDS/5 TD against Kentucky. Those are video game numbers ripped straight from NCAA 26. With the poor Tennessee pass defense, Pavia finds himself positioned to keep the hot streak rolling.
Eli Stowers anytime touchdown (+115)
In the spirit of projecting a very high-scoring affair, I’m targeting some scoring lines for many of the top pass catchers in this one. Throughout the season, tight end Eli Stowers has been the top target for Pavia with 57 catches for 705 yards, both high marks for Vanderbilt’s weapons. While he’s hauled in just four touchdowns, it’s clear his quarterback looks his way often and trusts him to haul in key opportunities. Tennessee also allows an opponent red-zone scoring percentage of 87.88%, 104th in the country. In short, there’s a reason the total is set at 66.5, the highest of the entire college football slate today. If this game becomes a shootout as anticipated, the plus odds on Stowers’ anytime touchdown line make it one of the better options for bettors looking to pick the scorers.
