Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Georgia Bulldogs prediction, pick for CFB Week 14 on Friday 11/28/25

Mercedes-Benz Stadium turns Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate into a playoff stress test this afternoon. Georgia arrives 10-1, chasing seeding leverage. Georgia Tech brings 9-2 and one chance to wreck their neighbor’s whole December. These helmets usually meet on a campus lawn; tonight the rivalry drops into a downtown spotlight built for January. Indoors, with both offenses piling yards, this feels less like a knife fight and more like a track meet. The question isn’t who cares more; it’s whether Tech’s surge can crack a Georgia machine that expects another deep run.Below is my prediction for CFB Week 13’s football game between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Georgia Tech vs. Georgia prediction, preview

My starting point is Georgia’s offense on that fast turf against a Georgia Tech defense hanging near the bottom in yards per play allowed. The Dawgs sit around 33.7 points and 430 yards per game with 190 on the ground, and they’ve cleared 35 in three straight. Gunner Stockton is sitting over 70% completions with efficient, low-turnover production while still giving Bobo quarterback run answers in the red area. Nate Frazier and the backfield are pushing close to 200 rushing yards per afternoon at over 5 a carry, and Tech’s defense is giving up about 168 rushing yards and more than six yards per snap. You give this line that mismatch and an indoor surface, and Georgia should string methodical, 6-to-10-play scoring drives all day.

Tech’s only path to hanging inside the number is Haynes King turning this into chaos. He is almost everything for them: 27 total touchdowns, over 3,000 combined yards, and a rushing element that already broke Clemson and NC State. The Jackets are north of 480 yards per game, top 10 nationally in yards per play, and one of the few offenses living in that 500-plus yard neighborhood over the last month. They ride RPO, vertical shots, and quarterback-designed runs, and they absolutely have the firepower to punish a Georgia secondary that finally saw real stress against Texas. But Georgia’s defense is still living in that top-20 band in points per play, allows under 90 rushing yards per game, and forces you to earn everything on third down. King has to thread windows all afternoon while avoiding the turnover spike that has Tech sitting negative in turnover margin for the year.

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech pick, best bet

If you want the dog, you circle variance: rivalry weirdness, last year’s 85-minute marathon, and Tech’s ability to trade explosives. Georgia is barely above break-even against the spread, and Tech has been an overachiever, lighting up ACC defenses that knew exactly what was coming. Indoors with two aggressive play-callers, a total near 60 doesn’t feel outrageous, and there’s a very real backdoor if Georgia is up three scores late and starts thinking about staying healthy. But Tech’s defense has allowed 34 or more in three straight and keeps hemorrhaging both chunk runs and vertical completions; Boston College and Pitt both walked into Atlanta and posted video game numbers. Asking that unit to get enough stops to protect plus 15.5 for 60 minutes against this version of Georgia feels like wishful thinking, not value.

I expect Georgia’s rushing edge and third-down defense to be the spine of this game. Offensively, they should lean into Frazier and that offensive line, keep Stockton in clean pockets, and hammer Tech’s linebackers with play-action crossers. Defensively, they can stay light in the box early, see if King will take the underneath stuff, then ratchet pressure and traps once Tech has to chase. That structure normally produces separation in the second and third quarters, not some desperate late cover. This number feels closer to where I’d make Georgia -17 than -15.5, and I trust the Dawgs to finish drives better than Tech can sustain theirs.

Give me Georgia -15.5 with a slight lean to the over. Georgia 41, Georgia Tech 20.

Best bet: Georgia -15.5 (-110) at Georgia Tech
