Steph Curry logged 32.8 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, that could be the last Warriors’ fans see of the All-Star for at least a week. Per Charania’s reporting, Curry is expected to miss at least seven days due to a quad contusion.
The news is the continuation of what’s been a very rough stretch for Golden State, as the team has dropped four of its last five games and now sits exactly at .500 with a 10-10 record. The Warriors are a squad that just aren’t doing a ton of things well at the moment, or at least that’s the opinion of forward Jimmy Butler, who had this to say following yesterday’s loss: “We don’t box out. We don’t go with the scouting report. We let anybody do whatever they want – open shots, get into the paint, free throws. It’s just sad.”
Things clearly aren’t going well on the defensive side of the ball, and they won’t get better on the offensive side, either. With Curry off the floor in 2025-26, the Warriors are averaging just 108.5 points per 100 possessions. That’s in comparison to the team’s 119.3 offensive rating when Curry is in the game. The 37-year-old is producing 27.9 points per contest in his 17th NBA season. Curry leads the league in three-pointers made (4.7) and attempted (12.0) per game.
