There’s plenty to be thankful for this year, including a three-game NFL slate on Thanksgiving. The games begin at 1 p.m. ET with an excellent matchup between the Packers and Lions.
This is the second time these teams will play each other after meeting in Week 1. The Packers won that matchup 27-13.
Detroit is a 2.5-point favorite and -142 on the moneyline, while Green Bay is +120 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 48.5 points.
Here are my favorite player props for this Week 13 NFL game between the Packers and Lions.
Packers vs. Lions Best Prop Bets
Amon-Ra St. Brown over 76.5 receiving yards (-114)
After a disappointing game against the Eagles, Amon-Ra St. Brown balled out against the Giants. He caught nine passes for 149 yards and one touchdown. That’s more like the star receiver the league has come to know.
The Packers have a much better defense, so it’s unlikely that he shreds Green Bay this much. Still, it would be a surprise for a second weak performance in three weeks. This is especially since the Lions are at home on Thanksgiving, a day in which they play every year.
St. Brown has been more effective at home this year, catching 40-of-54 targets for 517 yards and seven touchdowns. On the road, he’s caught 35-of-53 targets for 367 yards and two touchdowns despite playing one more game. The yards per game difference is apparent, too, as St. Brown averages 103.4 at home and 61.2 on the road.
Christian Watson over 3.5 receptions (+120)
The Packers like to run more than pass, but that doesn’t mean the passing attack is weak. It’s a very competent unit led by quarterback Jordan Love. He’s got a handful of solid wide receiver with Christian Watson arguably the top option.
Watson has only played five games since he was still recovering from an ACL tear at the start of the season. He debuted in Week 8, grabbing all four of his targets for 85 yards. The four games since have been fairly consistent, with Watson earning at least four targets in each game. He caught five of seven targets in his most recent outing.
It’s not incredible volume, but the Lions are a mediocre pass defense. Jameis Winston connected with Wan’Dale Robinson for 156 yards on 9-of-14 targets last week. If Winston can push the Lions to OT, Love can certainly do some damage.
The other upside with this prop is that it’s plus-money. Watson has recorded at least four receptions in three of five games this year, including two straight.
