NFL Best Bets: Chiefs vs. Cowboys best prop bets for Week 13

On Thursday afternoon, America’s Team takes the field for their traditional Thanksgiving showdown. In 2025’s edition of NFL football on Turkey Day, the Dallas Cowboys host the Kansas City Chiefs at AT&T Stadium in a high-stakes matchup between two teams that just pulled off massive upsets last week. It’s a long list of stars in this contest ranging from Dak Prescott to Patrick Mahomes, Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce to George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, and so many more. The Chiefs are favored at -3.5 in this game with a total of 52.5 points, so there’s no shortage of projected points here.

Here are some of the top player props on DraftKings Sportsbook for this Week 13 Thanksgiving tilt between the Chiefs and Cowboys.

Chiefs vs. Cowboys Best Prop Bets

Dak Prescott 250+ passing yards (-129)

The Cowboys possess the league’s most dominant passing attack, averaging a whopping 266.8 yards via the air per game. Throwing the ball to the elite receiver duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens has become the clear priority of this offense, while tight end Jake Ferguson also eats up targets as another reliable pass catcher. With this group of weapons, it’s not surprising in the least to see Dak Prescott ranked third in the NFL in passing yards (2,941) and tied for second in passing touchdowns (23). He’s playing at a near-MVP level most weeks as the driving force of one of the NFL’s top offense, so targeting his passing lines makes plenty of sense on Thanksgiving.

Prescott’s thrown for 250+ yards in eight of his 11 games on the year, missing that line by just 13 yards in one more appearance. The Chiefs’ defense is good, but not the truly fearsome unit of years past at 11th in opponent passing yards allowed per game, 17th in opponent yards per pass, and 30th in opponent completion percentage. Plus, the Kansas City offense will assuredly keep this game competitive against a weak Dallas defense, keeping game script favorable for Prescott and Cowboys pass catchers.

CeeDee Lamb over 6.5 receptions (+105)

Most of the factors mentioned above also lend themselves to a big game for Prescott’s receivers. While George Pickens is the one earning most of the headlines in recent weeks due to his outstanding play (and looming need for a contract extension), CeeDee Lamb is, in fact, still the Cowboys’ top wideout.

While the star has struggled with a case of the drops dating back to the start of the campaign, the target share remains elite at 28.5%, a team-high. Lamb saw double-digit targets in all but two games thus far and has gone over 6.5 receptions in four of his eight outings, though it’s more like four of seven since one of those was shortened by an injury. The concern about the former first-rounder’s hands does feel warranted given the ugly lowlights, but he’s still averaging 5.5 catches per game even with his struggles. With Kansas City ranked 30th in opponent completion percentage and Dallas likely needing to pass to keep up, Lamb can go over this at slight plus odds.

Patrick Mahomes longest completion over 37.5 yards (-110)

Look, Patrick Mahomes’ deep ball hasn’t quite ever returned to form following the departure of Tyreek Hill a few years ago. However, that doesn’t mean that he can’t air it out, and it certainly doesn’t mean his teammates can’t create massive plays after the catch as well. The Chiefs’ 38 passes of 20+ yards rank seventh among all teams on offense, while the Cowboys’ defense has allowed 34 passes of 20+ yards. Those factors along with the high game total and possible game script set up an opportunity for some serious chunk plays courtesy of Kansas City’s gunslinger.

Mahomes has a longest reception over 37.5 yards in seven of his 11 games on the season, and he came close with a longest pass of 37 yards in one additional appearance. That’s a pretty consistent result for explosive plays of this prop bet’s distance, and with Rashee Rice’s after-the-catch ability and Xavier Worthy’s speed, there’s always a chance a Chiefs wideout breaks loose for a big one. With The Cowboys also 30th in opponent yards per pass (7.8), there’s plenty of upside for the over on this line to cash on Thursday.
