We’ve got a loaded slate of Thanksgiving football, along with full plates on Thursday. Things kick off with a huge NFC North showdown between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. The player prop market for this game is stacked. We might as well start with Green Bay’s quarterback, Jordan Love.
The Lions are 2.5-point favorites for today’s marquee matchup at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the point total set to 48.5. Below, I’ve detailed my favorite prop bet centered around Jordan Love.
Best Jordan Love Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jordan Love Under 31.5 Passing Attempts (-117)
Jordan Love has been exceptionally efficient all season long. He’s posting a career-high 67.7% completion rate to go with a career-low 0.9% interception rate. But if there’s one thing that eludes him, it’s actual volume.
Green Bay remains a run-first team. They want Josh Jacobs to set the tone, allowing the play-action game to open up behind the defense. Love’s accuracy and production have worked against his passing volume; when you move the sticks so efficiently, your passing attempts tend to suffer as a result.
Case in point, Love has 30+ pass attempts in just five of 11 starts this season. Only two of those 30+ attempt games came in wins. I feel confident in Green Bay’s chances tomorrow, even on the road. They have great ball control potential and the kind of defense that can contain Detroit’s explosive offense. If they do take control of this one, Love won’t be slinging the rock at a high volume. Even when they’re behind, the run game stays heavily involved.
It’s not the flashiest bet on the board. But if you want value for the first game of the Thanksgiving slate, this is the way to go. You can thank me later, maybe by sending me some pie.
