Derrick Henry struggled to start the season, but has looked more like himself since Lamar Jackson returned to the lineup. Now he faces a Bengals rush defense that ranks 31st in the NFL, allowing an average of 156 yards per game on the ground.
Henry will be looking to dominate in what seems to be an extremely favorable matchup. I expect the Ravens to feed him early and often against this lackluster Bengals defense. 18 or more carries seems more than reasonable considering he has at least 18 rush attempts in each of his last six games. Before that, you had to go back to his 18 carries in Week 1, meaning he has cleared this total in seven of 11 games this season. Henry is averaging 17 carries per game, but he doesn’t play the Bengals every week.
The path to success for Baltimore is simple: feed King Henry. The possible game script in this one could also help, given that the Ravens are favored by a touchdown and could go very run-heavy offensively to bleed the clock if they get out to a lead.
I expect Henry to go over this rush attempts total for the seventh straight game.
