Rico Dowdle O 16.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

Dowdle is locked in as the Panthers’ starting running back over Chuba Hubbard right now, with Dowdle handling a huge 78.5% snap rate over the last three weeks, two of which have been wins for Carolina. Dowdle has been great as a rusher this season, averaging 5.0 YPC, but he has also been efficient as a pass catcher.

Dowdle is hauling in 76.3% of his targets and he is averaging 8.6 YPR. In the five games that Dowdle has started this season, he is averaging 32 receiving yards per game and he produced at least 28 receiving yards in three of those five starts. Usage-wise, Dowdle is running a route on 61% of his team’s dropbacks and he is seeing a target on an excellent 21% of those routes in his five starts.

This is a terrific receiving role for a back and exceeding 16.5 receiving yards shouldn’t be difficult for Dowdle in this matchup vs. the 49ers. Not only are the Panthers likely to throw a ton as 7.5-point road underdogs, but San Francisco is giving up the seventh-most yards per pass (6.9) and the third-most catches to running backs this season (61).
