Bengals’ star wide receiver Tee Higgins left the matchup against the Patriots and will miss the remainder of the game due to a concussion. Higgins was at full extension as he attempted to pull in a deep pass from Joe Flacco. His head slammed on the turf and he fell hard, causing the injury. Higgins remained down for an extended period of time, before eventually being carted away by the Cincinnati training staff.
It has been a disastrous season for the Bengals with this another concern added to the list. Ja’Marr Chase missed the entirety of this game due to a suspension and Andrei Iosivas was injured on this same drive. Iosivas was in the blue medical tent when Higgins’ injury occurred. Joe Flacco also had to step on the sideline briefly due to a finger issue that occurred on his throwing hand.
Even with Joe Burrow inching closer to returning, a loss in this matchup would drop the Bengals to 3-8 on the season. They will look to make a comeback without Higgins on the field in the matchup with the Patriots. Cincinnati ruled him out for the remainder of the game quickly, and his status will be one to monitor moving forward.
More updates will be provided regarding Tee Higgins as the team provides them. Stay tuned to DK Network for all updates.
