What happened to Baker Mayfield? Live injury updates for Buccaneers at Rams on Sunday 11/23/25

UPDATE: Mayfield sprained his left shoulder, per Todd Bowles.

UPDATE: Mayfield will not return.

UPDATE: Mayfield is doubtful to return.

UPDATE: Mayfield looked to be in a ton of pain on the last play of the first half and was holding his left shoulder area that he injured earlier in the quarter. We will provide updates on his injury as the second half gets underway.

UPDATE: Mayfield has returned to the game.

In the second quarter of Sunday’s game vs. the Rams, Baker Mayfield threw a touchdown pass to Tez Johnson. Mayfield appeared to injure his left arm/shoulder area on the play and went to the medical tent.

Before exiting, Mayfield went 5-of-11 for 22 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Teddy Bridgewater is the backup quarterback for Tampa Bay.
