New York Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction, Pick for NFL Week 12

New York Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction, Pick for NFL Week 12

The Sunday slate is full of mismatches. Out of the seven 1 p.m. ET games, three have double-digit spreads. One such game is a matchup between the Baltimore Ravens, a perennial contender, and the dumpster fire we call the New York Jets. Projected blowouts make for fascinating betting markets.

The Ravens enter as 13.5-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, while the Jets are listed as +650 underdogs. The game’s total is set at 44.5 points. Here is my preview, pick and prediction for Sunday’s Week 12 matchup between the Jets and Ravens.

Jets vs. Ravens Preview

The Baltimore Ravens are finally back on track. They went into the bye at 1-5 with Lamar Jackson struggling through injuries. Now they’ve won four straight while getting Jackson back into the lineup. With a win on Sunday and a Steelers loss, Baltimore would move into a tie for the AFC North lead with both matchups against Pittsburgh remaining on the docket.

New York is firmly off the tracks. It’s at least pulled off a couple of wins, but there’s no coming back from a 0-7 start. Now it’s turning to Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, an admission of failure in the Justin Fields experiment. It’s a dire situation in the Meadowlands, and now the Jets are playing for pride.

If the Jets have a hope in this game, it’s in the running game. New York’s 5.0 yards per carry mark is one of the best in football, while the Ravens are in the bottom 10 in running yards allowed per carry. They need Breece Hall on his A-game. Do the Jets have any hope of pulling the upset here?

Jets vs. Ravens Prediction, Pick

Spoiler alert: the Jets are not winning this game. After trading their two best defenders away, there’s little hope of containing Jackson, Derrick Henry and Baltimore’s pass-catching playmakers. On top of that, they’re hoping a backup quarterback can lead them over a healthy and resurgent Ravens defense. It’s all lining up for a convincing Ravens victory.

Best Bet: Baltimore Ravens -13.5
