USC at Oregon: Makai Lemon Anytime TD (+110)
This should be a fantastic game between two playoff hopefuls. USC needs a win to keep its season alive, while an Oregon loss would push it firmly onto the bubble. It is a fascinating battle between the Big Ten’s top offense, USC, and the nation’s third-best defense, Oregon. One thing that is a guarantee is that Makai Lemon is going to get his. Michigan, Notre Dame and Iowa are three elite defenses that USC has had to take on this season. In those three games, Lemon averaged 7.7 catches for 107.3 yards, he also had a touchdown in two of the three games.
Lemon has been sensational all season, but has somehow gotten better as the year has gone on. In his past two games, he has combined for 21 catches for 314 yards and three total touchdowns. Jayden Maiava is getting the ball to his top target by any means necessary, and Lemon is creating magic whenever he touches it. Oregon has only faced one passing offense of this caliber all season, and it resulted in its lone loss against Indiana. In that game, the Hoosiers’ star receiver, Elijah Sarratt, had eight catches for 121 yards and a score. Lemon should be able to do whatever he wants and find the end zone at least once in this huge game.
Texas vs. Arkansas: Ryan Wingo Anytime TD (-105)
Most of the SEC has an “off week” with cupcake non-conference games on the schedule. However, Texas and Arkansas face off in one of the only conference matchups of the weekend. Texas took a tough loss to Georgia last week, putting its season on the rocks. However, experts have reported that Texas winning the final two games of the season against Arkansas and Texas A&M could still get them into the CFP with some help around the country. This would be an effort to encourage non-conference scheduling like Texas had this season, facing Ohio State to open the season. So, while things look bleak in Austin, the Longhorns certainly have something to play for.
If Texas has any steam to let off, this is the week to do it. Arkansas ranks dead-last in the SEC in scoring defense and total defense, and by a decent margin. This is a chance for Arch Manning and the Texas offense to find a groove ahead of the massive finale against Texas A&M. If Manning is going to find success, it will be by getting the ball to Ryan Wingo. Wingo leads the Longhorns in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He has especially taken his game to another level over the past three weeks. Wingo is averaging 112 receiving yards per game over that stretch and has scored a touchdown in each of his past two games. Against a terrible Arkansas defense, Wingo should make it three straight games with a score.
