Chelsea has played great football despite Cole Palmer’s absence. For once, its depth at attack is looking like an asset. Players like Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro have stepped up in a major way, providing the goal-scoring punch they’ve missed with Palmer out (who is due to return next week). A continued effort from the defense and excellent link-up play provided by Moises Caicedo have kept them in top form.
Burnley hasn’t had as much luck. Its defense has struggled, conceding 22 goals in 11 EPL matches. Outside of a decent midfield pairing of Josh Cullen and Florentino Luís, nobody is thriving in possession. However, the team continues to get big moments from Jaidon Anthony. When you’re fighting to stay above water, players who can make something out of nothing are extremely valuable.
Whether or not Anthony can find the net may decide this game. That, or a strong performance from Martin Dubravka, can swing the game. However, with Chelsea set as strong favorites, there’s not much value to be found on the moneyline. Instead, I’m looking to the over, as Chelsea’s strong attack faces a leaky defense.
