Joe Burrow is seemingly ahead of his expected schedule and working his way back to the football field. The Bengals star made his return to practice in a limited capacity last week, which opened up his 21-day window starting on Nov. 10th. Burrow was then listed as a full participant at today’s Bengals practice.
Burrow and Cincinnati continue to be guarded with their exact plan for his return. But it is worth noting he has not officially been ruled out for the week just yet.
His opportunity on the practice field was also expanded with Joe Flacco listed as a limited participant due to a right shoulder injury. This is also a storyline worth monitoring. The Bengals made the trade to add the veteran following the injury to Burrow, but they hold a 3-7 record heading into the Week 12 matchup with the Patriots.
One would assume the organization will keep the bigger picture in mind regarding Burrow. But the star quarterback’s determination to return to the football field is clear, and the progress is occurring at a more rapid rate than most would have guessed.
Burrow has not played since the Week 2 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 14th. He suffered a Grade 3 Turf Toe injury, which required surgery to heal.
Currently, the Patriots are 7.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook for the matchup, while the Bengals hold +295 odds of pulling off the outright upset.
