UPDATE: Antetokounmpo will not return to Monday’s game due to a left groin strain. Jericho Sims started the second half in his place.
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a possible injury during Monday’s game vs. Cleveland Cavaliers.
Late in the second quarter, Antetokounmpo took a fall after a layup attempt and limped off the floor to the locker room. He has not yet returned and does not have an official injury designation as of this time.
Antetokounmpo played 13 minutes prior to his trip to the locker room. He recorded 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in that span. If the Bucks’ superstar doesn’t return, watch for Kyle Kuzma or Bobby Portis to see additional minutes.
Even at 30 years old, the Greek big man continues to improve to start the season. Antetokounmpo currently averages career-highs in points (32.6), FG% (63.0%), and assists (7.1) while also pitching in 11.3 rebounds per game. If he did indeed suffer an injury that will leave him sidelined, this Bucks squad may find itself in serious trouble trying to stay afloat without its star.
Since he left the game due to injury in the first half and will not return, Antetokounmpo’s prop bet lines are eligible for DraftKings’ Early Exit program as well.
