LeBron James missed all of training camp, the preseason and has yet to debut in the 2025-26 NBA season for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he could be making his season debut soon. James practiced with the G League’s South Bay Lakers last week and joined the main club for practice on Monday. He has officially been upgraded to questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Utah Jazz at home.
In his absence, the Lakers have posted a 10-4 record due to the brilliance of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. Doncic has garnered a usage rate of 38% while Reaves has been over 30% as well. Last season, Doncic was in the 35% range while Reaves was around 25%. Both will see decreases in usage rate with James returning, with Reaves likely seeing the biggest decrease.
If James is unable to return on Tuesday, the next opportunity would be Sunday in Utah.
